We have used CMD on Windows but we are going to use Terminal on macOS. For this operation, we are going to use the VBoxManage tool with Sudo privileges. Run Terminal and paste the command below:
sudo VBoxManage extpack install <path to file/file name.file extension>
Again, you are going to change the “<path to file/file name.file extension>” to the exact path for the downloaded file of the extension pack. Once selected then you will type Y and press Enter.
The installation will begin and once got completed then you will see the Successfully Installed on your screen.
How to remove the Oracle VM VirtualBox extension pack?
Uninstall is as simple as the installation of an extension pack on VirtualBox. Begin the process by running VirtualBox on your system. Then you are going to click on File > Preferences. In the new window, you are going to select Extension and then select the package that you want to uninstall.
Select the package and click on the cross icon which is right below the plus icon on the right side of your screen. A pop will appear, click on Remove.
