How to Fix macOS Screen Resolution After OS Installation?

Fix macOS screen resolution after install the OS- Once you have installed any macOS on your Virtual Box, the first thing that you will experience will be poor resolutions. Even checking and configuring the resolution from settings, you will still experience screen resolution in a poor state.

So, here is how to fix macOS screen resolution after installing the OS.

First thing first. Once you have installed macOS on your virtual Box, you will need to exit the application. Make sure you have exited the app, by going to Task Manager and quit the app.

Now, open the CMD (command prompt) as Admin. Go to Virtual Box-Folder in your CMD.

Type the following command to enter the Virtual Box (if you have installed it on drive C:) and you will be in the Virtual Box folder.

cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox

Navigate inside the Virtual Box folder and find the VBoxManage.exe.

Select the VBoxManage.exe and type the following command:

VBoxManage setextradata Lion VBoxInternal2/EfiGraphicsResolution 1600×900

Here the “1600×900” screen resolution was just an example, here a list of resolutions to choose:

1280×720 | 1920×1080 | 2560×1440 | 2048×1080 | 3840×2160 | 5120×2880 | 1280×800 | 1280×1024 | 1440×900 | HD | FHD | QHD | 2K | 4K | 5K

Choose one of the screen resolutions and your screen resolution is now according to you. Fix macOS screen resolution after install the OS.
